The Guardian of the Verge
Altai has always considered himself lucky but this time his luck at the Range may have run out. His first venture into the Orange Zone turned out to be a setup; a standard leveling up mission proved to be disastrous; and an epic quest cost the lives of his squadmates. Moreover, he found himself teetering on the brink of survival. Now, Altai's life depends on an experimental neural network and an alien creature whose sole purpose is to subjugate his consciousness and turn him into a living weapon.
To come back from the dead and go through Inferno, to win on a crazy show and free his friends—alone, without armor or weapons... Impossible? Well then, he's gonna have to do the impossible—simply because he doesn't have a choice.
I liked the twist, basically our hero is an innocent man that was on the wrong side of politics and now he has to survive in combat hell. Wonder how it is all gonna fall apart.

Lots of unexpected plot twists that add to the amazing world building! Non stop action with a world full of violence with amazing technology.
Ray
Altai is rescued and provided help in recovering after destroying the Lair. Unfortunately he is tracked by an ex-friend and fellow parachute trooper, and has a lucky escape. Returning to the Verge, he is then enrolled into a Survivor death match. Good read and some serious skills mixed in, but leaving us with a couple of outstanding questions.

Oh man. Cliffhanger, not even an epilogue? I hate you, just when the story was so good! I will have to buy the next book then, wait that was your evil plan all along didn't you? Sneaky, peaky! Love it and I want more of this story. Thank you. Keep up the good work! I can't wait for the next book!
