I'm a college student who watched with my own eyes as the world descended into hell. A Dark Sphere arrived on Earth, turning half the planet into zombies. They thrive on killing us - people - as every kill fuels their development and makes them stronger.
Besides zombies, there are also mutants: mutated animals. Plus Monsters: bizarre creatures in possession of striking strength and abilities.
Levels, skills, new yet unheard-of objects... our world has changed.
We have only one hope of surviving: we need to fight. By killing zombies, mutants, and Monsters, we're becoming stronger.
And I, Andrew First, will be the strongest of them all.
World building is decent, progression is quick enough to be engaging.
Worth a read if you enjoy system/apocalypse style litrpg books.
Will give the second book a read for sure.

I'm really enjoying the story and the MC, the start is the sudden arrival of a Dark Sphere which turns half the worlds population to Zombies and hunts the rest. Levels are introduced. It's the apocalypse. Think "All of Us are Dead" except with levels and in Russia in 2058. The story and the skill system is cool and the different zombie mutations are there to spice it up. The book is very fast pace and hard to put down. I could however hope to see more in depth writing when it comes to the battles and getting to know the different characters. It's somewhat superficial, but the story and dark place the world is turning into makes it a very good story. I really can't wait for the second book.

I really liked this book. It flowed well, and I really liked the characters. Well, the mc is a bit of a jerk, but that's a relatively minor quibble. Give this a read.
