From Scotland’s grey, wet, and wonderfully wild west coast to the Amazon bestseller charts, Michael’s journey as an author began remarkably early—at just ten years old, when he started writing what would eventually become The Reborn King. Thankfully, as Michael himself admits, those first chapters remained safely hidden in a drawer!

Since returning to writing in earnest, Michael has gone on to sell tens of thousands of books, reach the Amazon Top 100, work in digital marketing at Bloomsbury Publishing, co-found Portal Books, and even share his self-publishing experience on BBC Radio Scotland.

LitRPG readers may know him especially well for Battle Spire—a crafting-focused adventure brilliantly described as World of Warcraft meets Die Hard.
