But his life is far from peaceful. His enemies are restless, fuming that he's always able to get out of any problem and continue his work. As always, he's supported by his family and St. Petersburg's chief healer, who sees his exceptional potential.
It's not all doom and gloom, though. The amulet that killed the previous Alexander had simply been used incorrectly. It can still be harnessed for good, if he can only figure it out.
The family has also been adopted by a miraculous pet, and Alexander thinks he's come up with the perfect name.
