Victor Grosov

Victor Grosov was born at the turn of the 1990s, almost missing the end of an era, and spent some quality time building a career far removed from storytelling.

However, in 2021 he was faced with a lack of quality books to read. The genre of alternative history seemed to be in deep crisis, only offering shallow cookie-cutter pulp novels while he was looking for something deeper and more insightful. In the end, he heaved a sigh and said, Thanos-like, “Fine, I'll do it myself”.

And so it happened that he abandoned his office chair and succumbed to the lure of medieval chivalry. Instead of writing quarterly reports, he was now studying things like musket ballistics or researching the intricacies of the early Russian Empire’s logistics. Victor writes his books for the like-minded reader: someone who’s equally tired of contrived unrealistic yarns and who can appreciate historical accuracy and common sense in a tightly plotted story.
