Today we celebrate the birthday of Vasily Kriptonov — author, dreamer, and true citizen of the world. A writer whose imagination bridges action-packed sci-fi, fantasy, YA adventures, and even wuxia, Vasily never stops exploring new creative frontiers.

Winner of the Transylvania-2021 literary prize for Best Long Form and runner-up of the 2015 Debut prize for Best YA and Children’s Books, he’s proven time and again that there’s no genre he can’t master — and no challenge he won’t rise to.

Here’s to a man who keeps rewriting the rules of storytelling — and to many more worlds yet to come.
