Michael Borz

Michael Borz spent the first half of his life living a regular Terran lifestyle. He finished school, served in the army, got married, then completed two college courses: one in political science, the other in international economics, all the while dabbling in journalism and spending his spare time camping and playing military sports.

One day, though, Michael challenged himself to travel to the Arctic in order to work in petroleum industry. Where, during one of his field trips, he fell through a portal leading to a parallel world. From there, he’s been messaging us daily with reports on his new life, the reports which everybody considers to be fantasy novels for some reason.

They do say that in the afterlife, fantasy authors get to travel to the worlds of their own creation. Michael, however, has apparently earned this privilege already during his lifetime.

In my past life, I heeded the Blood Code: I rescued people, slaying monsters from the inner plane. For my trouble the Inquisition condemned me for blood lust and burned me at the stake.

And in my current life my family is dishonored in the eyes of the emperor, there’s a bounty on my head, and I’m the subject of a divine dispute. Well then, no better time than now to surprise them all. Give me but a drop of blood—and the hunter will become the prey.

I am Mikhail Komarin. The Blood of my bloodline guards my back! And I still heed the Code.
