Born and raised in St Petersburg Russia, Marcus Cass loves the city’s enchanting magic which he discovers at every turn of its streets.

A passionate reader from an early age, Marcus used to devour crime mysteries and classical science fiction until a friend suggested he tried the works by Terry Goodkind. His stories forever changed Marcus’ outlook, ushering him into the new amazing world of fantasy replete with thousands of characters and settings. He has since lost track of all the fantasy authors he’s discovered – he just might have read them all.

His job as a software developer didn’t offer much space to exercise his imagination, so another good friend suggested he tried to commit his fantasies to paper. That’s how Marcus started his writing journey which unexpectedly became a success. These days, Marcus can’t imagine living his daily life without constantly creating new worlds - those of kindliness and magic.

Marcus also likes traveling, telling awkward jokes, and messing around with technical things.
