Young Adult Books

Young Adult is more of a literary age category than a separate genre. These stories usually focus on young protagonists going through coming of age, first serious relationships, the search for their own place in the world, conflicts with those around them, and the need to make important decisions independently.

The key distinction of YA is not the type of world or plot, but the characters’ perspective and themes of growing up. Young Adult can therefore also be Fantasy, Romance, Sci-Fi, Dystopia, LitRPG, or almost any other genre.
