Post-Apocalyptic Books

PostAp, or post-apocalyptic fiction, depicts a world after a global catastrophe that has destroyed or radically changed familiar civilization. The cause can be war, a pandemic, a natural disaster, technological collapse, an invasion, or another event on a planetary scale.

These stories usually focus on survival, the struggle for resources, and attempts to build a new order on the ruins of the old world. Unlike dystopia, the social system here has more often already collapsed or is only beginning to form again.
